Casper’s Own Movie Star: LoRayne Day

LoRayne Day grew up in Casper singing and dancing in school in the 1930s. She headed to the bright lights of Hollywood in the 1940s. And for a while her star burned bright. Come and learn the story of Casper’s own movie star.

Firearms From the Collection

Firearms are a part of the history of the west and the founding of Wyoming. The collection at Fort Caspar Museum is wide and diverse, from a model 1864 Joslyn carbine to a .22 Derringer by SportArms, and a handgun once owned by Tom O'Day.

For thousands of years, people left messages and designs on rock faces throughout our state. Explore some of the history and images of Wyoming rock art in an exhibit brought to you by Fort Caspar Museum and the Wyoming Archaeological Society.
